HINTON BIKE PARK

The Hinton Bike Park is a free, fun, and inclusive destination where riders of all ages and skill levels can build confidence, improve their technique, and embrace an active, outdoor lifestyle.

This safe and dynamic space supports skill development and celebrates mountain bike culture in the heart of the Northern Canadian Rockies.

Located just off Highway 16 at Switzer Drive and Robb Road, Hinton Bike Park spans an impressive 37 acres of rolling foothill terrain, making it one of the largest free-access bike parks in Alberta. Born from a grassroots movement led by the Hinton Mountain Bike Association (HMBA) and the Town of Hinton, this park was built by riders, for riders—and it shows in every pump track berm and jump line.

Designed for Progression & Fun

  • Skills Area: Full of progressive technical features—teeter-totters, ladder bridges, balance logs—to help riders “session” and build skills in a controlled environment.

  • Pump Tracks: Includes both beginner and advanced loops, including the popular “Midway” pump track built in 2013.

  • Dirt Jumps & Drop Zones: Table-top jumps ranging from 2–5 feet, plus upper and lower drop zones perfect for testing air and confidence.

  • Flow Trails: The “Flow Master” and “Stinger” trails are designed for speed and rhythm—ideal for honing cornering and flow skills.

Connected to a Wider Bike Network

The park links seamlessly into the Happy Creek Trail System, offering over 30 km of cross-country singletrack plus access to Bighorn Ridge trails. From here, riders can stretch their adventure beyond the park’s boundaries into scenic forest paths and rolling hills.
